All comedies. All worth a watch, IMO.

I know you've all see it before.
I know most of you can write the script.
But nevertheless it would be remiss of me to not leave this here:-

Over the weekend I watched the film Odd Thomas

And rather enjoyed it

The slight problem is that I think I enjoyed it because I knew nothing about it, so kind of tough to recommend it.
Not helped by the fact it rather reminded me of a TV show nobody will remember - Eerie Indiana.

I was discussing Eerie Indiana with a friend just the other day! I say 'discussing'... the new hocus pocus 2 trailer led to my friend revealing Omri Katz was one of her first "tv boyfriends", leading to me reminscing about enjoying EI. I've seen Odd Thomas, too. I remember liking it, it's not redefining cinema, but a fun watch.

Hahaha

"A fun watch" - probably the review I was trying to write.

FYI from what was rather meager offerings All4 have dropped a pooh tonne of films.

Not much you probably haven't seen before but nevertheless they've returned to having plenty of choice.

Upping the choice-o-meter still further, they've also added the Matt Damon version of Le Man's 66, which (not being a purest) I thoroughly enjoyed, when it first came out.

&

The Boy Who Would Be King (?) Joe Cornish's modern take on Arthurian legend.
Complimentary described as 'the very best Children's Film Foundation style of film'.

Deffo one for the kidz, but you'll easily watch worse with them, this summer.

Odd Thomas - just saying.

I recently watched The Rise & Fall of Ron Jeremy.

Bit of an oddity which I may well trip over here.

Rather compelling evidence in the show the guy is a monster who seemingly should have been locked up 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, 3 years ago.

Yet I felt the undercurrent of the doc was oddly sympathetic towards the big man.

It kind of felt like 'hey you all encouraged Ron, what did you expect?'

Luckily for vulnerable people engaged in the sex entertainment industry they have much more control over their working environment with the advent of new technology they no longer have to rely on predatory men to produce content.

Some of the stories about the likes of Ron Jeremy are horrendous. I can only imagine what has gone untold.

Under Siege has been added, after being shown last night.

I can think of one or two reasons to tune in.

The Long Good Friday is available for the next 30 days.

Going to see how well/badly it's aged.
