Not Luton! Thank God
Scenario: Your train has just pulled into Falmer on a busy match day. You're first out the door and there before you on the platform is shining coin. You know that stopping to pick it up would cause all sorts of problems behind you. What is the lowest denomination coin that you would pick up?

Poll to follow.

I wouldn't bother for a coin if it meant becoming an obstruction.

On my own, anything silver and upwards would be recovered. Unless it was in dog shit. But that's a different poll.

When I was a kid, during the summer holidays, we used to superglue loose change to the pavement outside my mates house in Kemp Town. Hours of fun watching people try it up whilst we'd shout "Pikey ****" out the window. One bastard did come back with a chisel though and cleaned up.

Would always pick up any coin as that is what charity tins are for.

I don't actually keep or use anything lower than 10p pieces and they sit with 20p's and 50p's in my glove compartment for car parking etc..

1p's, 2p's and 5p's all go in the aforementioned charidee tins. Once parking meters stop taking 10p pieces (and it probably won't be long) then they will start to go in as well.

A penny. Goes in the pot in my lounge and every 6 months goes to the Martletts. Soon adds up and a penny to The Martletts is worth a lot more than it is to most of us.

A quid. I like the chunkiness of the coin.

usually i'd pick up 20p or maybe 10p. all depends on how dirty the coin is.
