At least the players weren't booed off. All the 'Ammers fans left at halftime and are in the pub drinking and eating jellied eels

Sullivan, Gold and Brady are truly a cancer at the heart of West Ham and the epitome of people who know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

Upton Park was a proper old football ground in the heart of the community and the atmosphere it generated was worth a goal for the Hammers before the match even kicked off. They might have got a cracking deal for the London Stadium so far as the balance sheet is concerned - but this season or next West Ham will drop out of the Premier League and start tumbling down the divisions with 12'000 fans rattling around a vast, soulless bowl miles from their home. Perhaps then it won't look like such a good deal. Well, not for the fans anyway.

How much longer does Billic have ? Telephone call for Arry?

It's Karren Brady i would like to see go, everything has gone sour at West Ham, the stadium is a balls up and the team are not playing.
She is the MD, top of the sacking tree yet she seems indestructible.
Unless someone proves me wrong i cannot see what she has done, she has been a very lucky lady to work with porn king Sullivan, she is certainly no Michelle Mone yet she pops up on The Apprentice as if she is a business genius.
It just goes to show that we are in goods hands when we sacked Burke, not many clubs do that.

PS I am not interested in any argument about a woman making it in a mans world like football, i accept that but Delia has done somewhat better, when she is sober.

Now only 19 teams higher than us in the league left in the competition.

It's only a matter of time before there is some sort of FC United of West Ham club starting in division 7 or whatever. And actually, I fancy they will take a larger percentage of the original support than their Manchester counterparts have managed.

Ironic that the other team also did quite well out of an athletics stadium though wouldn't you say Trig?
I don't know whether the council were done over on that deal or not? Will go research.

Haven't been to either but City's stadium looks far more like a football stadium on the telly box than West Ham's.

Anyway, I couldn't watch the game so can anyone confirm how many times the BBC mentioned the 'Magic of the Cup'? Probably easier to round it up to tens.

It would seem Citeh contributed 20m to the conversion of the stadium and apparently lease it from the council, would love to know how much their rent is!
Just after a quick look it seems the council get something when more tickets are sold than would have fitted into Maine Road (which is about £2m a year), plus there's £2m a year for naming rights. City paid £20m installing bars etc, and the council got the old ground.
