If you look a few frames later the ball is in front of his feet, just before he hits it.
I'm not sure which frames you mean but from the ones I have looked at CMS always look to be level with the ball, never ahead of it, so on side.

I was taking the Michael. Obviously the ball is in front when CMS hits it, meaning that the position of the ball isn't a good indicator of offside after it has been hit (as in the OP).I'm not sure which frames you mean but from the ones I have looked at CMS always look to be level with the ball, never ahead of it, so on side.
