As I'm sure many of you know, QPR's skipper Steve Palmer is a brighton boy. He turned out for Albion Boys and the reserves when he was a teenager.

He's not played at withdean since he was a schoolboy, but I'm sure he'll like the changes.

Steve was the head boy for the year below me a Stringer. Went to Cambridge, got an engineering degree and signed pro with Ipswich.

And he's a nice bloke too!!
