There's info about some car parks, but will they be open to supporters or will they be for executive seats?

the website didn't specify?

Also how long is the walk from the train station to the stadium?

A mate has informed me that the best place to park is in the schools. All the blue parking places on that map are for fans (as in non executives as they have a car park in the ground allegedly!)

It takes about 5 minutes from Witton station and roughly 10 minutes from Aston station .

Getting to Villa Park - Aston Villa FC website info pages:

Matchday Travel Map - showing some car parks
http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/MatchdayTransport/0,,10265,00.html

Shows several car parks, but some are very small - 30 cars or so!

General 'Getting to Villa Park' info:
www.avfc.co.uk/page/GettingToVillaPark/0,,10265,00.html

Traffic exclusion zone - from 75 mins befor ko, to 30 - 60 minutes after match:
www.avfc.co.uk/staticFiles/83/4/0,,10265~132227,00.pdf

RESIDENTS’ PARKING ZONE:
www.avfc.co.uk/staticFiles/85/4/0,,10265~132229,00.pdf

"Residents’ parking zones are in operation on match days.
We strongly advise supporters to use official car parks
and avoid parking in residential areas.
You will avoid the parking fine of £60 which you will
incur for parking within the residents’ zone"

I went to have a look round after the Walsall game - in the dark and wet - and my impression was that parking anywhere near will be VERY difficult!
