About to be sold for £18.5m to Sporting Lisbon, hopefully a sell on clause..........

Widely reported we had a decent sell on percentage.

Last year Naylor said we have a "substantial" sell on clause.
The sell on clause is rumoured to be 10%

So an extra £2m or do.

Great move him. Nowhere near as competitive as the Prem, lovely city, great climate, European football. Dreamy.

Man United were due to get 25% of Zaha's sell-on fee from Palace. That's pretty 'substantial'.

10% is NOT substantial. Seems almost standard. I would guess it has to be more than that seeing as we sold Gyokeres off relatively cheaply.
Sold him off cheaply? Well yes, I thought so at the time - and got a right telling off from the club-knows-better-than-you cognosenti on here! Like you, I hope we included a better sell-on percentage in the deal.

What does the rumour mill say the % is? I saw people reckon its 40-50% which would be great

The sell on has been described as meaningful, sizeable, & significant by various sources. I doubt there would such a description across the board for say 10/15% which is a pretty standard sell on percentage. I’d say ours must be at least 25%..
