Hi everyone,

My girlfriends family have been left homeless for 4 months now and I have had a friend looking after their cats. She's moving and has given us until tomorrow to find somewhere for them or we'll have to get rid of them. I've exhausted my facebook and my coworkers so i'm here looking for some one to take our cats in until the 30th of August, keep them fed (obviously we'll pay for food) and keep them indoors and alive and i'll pay out 50 pounds on top of whatever food is bought. I'll also buy you a pint or two at the Amex!

I'm desperate and I promised we wouldn't have to give them away...

Thanks, Sam

Silly question , but if you are willing to pay for food and £50 on top why not put them in a cattery until 30 August.. People do that when they go on hols so why not ?

I've literally just answered this on facebook :lolol:

Firstly food is around 30 quid in bulk so it'll cost us 80 quid if some one is willing to take them in.

The cheapest cattery i've found is 221 for both of them for 17 days. We aren't looking for thme to be treated like kings, just to be kept fed, (relatively) happy and in good health. we dont' need all the specialist equipment that a cattery might have.

Secondly if we don't have somewhere by tomorrow we have to get rid of them - most catterys i've seen need advance notice.

Call up the City Cat Shelter on 01273 606843 and ask for Mike Tully. I think they do board as well as look after unwanted and stray cats.

im sure somewhere like Raystede (in Ringmer) will take the cats on a short term basis. When I have visited I have often seen the cats there with a note saying that owner temp unable to look after as ill or seeking home etc etc. Under the circs, I would give them a call if I were you.
