Edit: just read the telegraph, seems a similar kind of event to the one here in Eastbourne in the summer.
It's pretty parky this evening. Why on earth would anyone have doors and windows open?

Reports of noxious odour. People feeling sick and their eyes are stinging. BBC south have tweeted.
People are being warned to stay indoors and keep windows shut in parts of Sussex amid reports of a noxious odour.
The odour, described as "like burning plastic", was first noticed in the Ridings area of Seaford at around 6pm.
Some people have complained of stinging eyes and feeling sick.
Police are working with other agencies, including the Coastguard, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and Lewes District Council, to try to determine the cause of the smell.
In August a toxic 'haze' caused discomfort to people in the Birling Gap area, but the Seaford incident is not currently being linked to this.

I like to have the window open a bit all year round to get some fresh air in. Wife tends to want to shut it in the colder months (which to her are between August and June).

The BBC are reporting that acid has been found at an industrial unit near Uckfield. I wonder if any had escaped. Birling gap and Seaford are just south of Uckfield.
The chemicals are highly explosive and used to make bombs.

I was on Worthing Pier a couple of hours ago and saw a bloke in a Palace top.
