Why haven't Tony and Bruno popped down to Spain with a chest full of beads and mirrors, hoovering up all their talent.

It's all right and proper to bemoan the stupidly inflated English transfer market.
What I don't get, esp after all the successes, is the club seemingly reluctant to only look elsewhere.

At or around £1.7m we should sign him anyway!! It should be a no brainier at that sort of price.

...Would we not also get a percentage back as well?? (Ie the sell in clause)

As far as I'm aware, a sell on clause will only come into play if Leo is sold for more than they paid for him, which I think is pretty unlikely.

Put up £5M, with a bonus if we go up to match what we sold him for, then ask Leo if he wants to play badly enough to have his wages cut in half till we get promoted.
