How the f**k can there be a "UK" "World" Cup? #WTF

Everyone has been calling it Comedy World Cup.

Perhaps just UK Comedy Cup instead.

I can pick my top 2 in every group......But group G is a NIGHTMARE. I FEAR Garth won't get through but I couldn't possibly be angry at One Foot for (probably) beating it.

What a tough one.

I love Darkplace but I give it NO chance of getting through the group stage.

The Office and Darkplace in the same group? I am going to have to give some serious consideration to which gets my vote.

Perhaps vote tactically? The Office is a shoo-in to get through...

Very unlikely as their vote will be split. Porridge will get the oldies vote.

Indeed, LoG and Porridge should split the vote quite nicely, and, both would be deserving of progressing.

It's a really good group.

The amount of U25's on here though should see The Inbetweeners through though. I'm not saying it's right, but I think that's what will happen :D

I'm hoping that VICTOR will sail through, as he's clearly the most hilarious character ever created, but I'm not convinced he'll be a hit with NSC.

It would be lovely to see Victor face off against Father Ted in a knock out round, as that would be a bit like a derby - what with Victor featuring in one of the all time classic Father Ted episodes.

He can't be the most hilarious character ever created, as he has a CATCHPHRASE.

I'm confused !

You have :

Miranda - not a comedy
Minder - not a comedy

Yet don't have Outnumbered ?

I love Gavin and Stacey - it is the ultimate in 'in-joke' comedy. If you don't follow the story from the start, you are unlikey to get many of the jokes.

Should be a decent competition. Does the winner qualify to take on international comedies?

Where were you during the nominations and secondings? Went over quite a few days...

The only good bit about Gavin & Stacey was Rob Brydon's character, although the fat selfish dark haired one was slightly chucklesome.
