What makes you think this? He's worth a LOT more than that. Scored on average a goal every 3 games or so, still young and very versatile. Worth at least £2m in my opinion.

... with 6 months left on his contract = no chance of that sort of money.

I would think the club would accept a reasonable fee like £400k if he shows that he isnt going to sign a new contract and thus avoid another GM situation. For what it is worth The Argus did say that he wants to sign a new contract but as a back up 3rd or 4th choice I am not sure

Probably agents negotiating a new deal, as that is what they are paid to do.

Agreed. It is taking a long time tho', isn't it. TBH I'm not too fussed and genuinely think we can do better than the 2-goal 'wonder-kid'.
