I went to see From the Jam the other week and Malice was pretty early in the set. The end of the encore was Going Underground.

I always had Town Called Malice as the best Jam song, closely followed by Going Underground. Now I have seen a few articles suggesting I am wrong.

Over to you NSC, what do you think.
I wasn't going to give options for others but perhaps I should for all you hipsters.

Now I feel like I have ruined my own question.

So many great songs and memories, Down in the tube station is my favourite from your list but could pick at least 20.
'Running on the spot' is a great tune.
Weller had those Tories sussed a long time ago.

In what sense are you "wrong" for having a personal preference?

From that list, Going Underground. Loads of great songs not on the list, though.

I’m sorry to be that guy, but I can’t let it go - it’s Eton Rifles, not Eaton.
See I bet they don't make that mistake with their bloody expensive educations.

I am running home for my tea!!!

It's a close run thing as the start of Going Underground is amazing and brings back so memories. I was 18 when it was released and still have my copy ... as I do of every The Jam record.

But Tube Station just pips it for me.

Impossible to pick one, I love all the songs on that list.

If I had to really pick just one ...... probably 'Down in the Tube station at Midnight', just edging out 'The Eton Rifles'. Ask me tomorrow and that order will probably be revered.

And a bit of pedantry: There is no 'a' in 'Eton' - and it's THE Eton Rifles
