What a weekend - The Albion's miserable performance, the cricket teams regular collapse and surrender - now this. I thought Stratum was supposed to be one of TB's better horses too ........................

Not Blooms Villenalle 13.50 around 11-8 now

In keeping with recent posts on here, this selection didn't justify its price and put in a pathetic performance

Maybe laying them is how TB is paying for their keep. He doesn't appear to have anything of note now; they are all getting much too old.

He's got a future star in Energumene that sadly missed Cheltenham through injury this year, but yup, most of his nags have their best days behind them and should no longer just be backed blindly. IMHO, like

Energumene still unbeaten after four runs over fences, another easy win tonight. It will be some race if/when he takes on Shishkin next season.

No-one could be blamed for giving up on Flaming Spear: he's a 9-year-old now, 13 runs without a win etc. etc.

But he's down to a career-low mark of 81 (he was off 110 in his pomp) and showed more than a glimmer of form over tomorrow's track and trip when partnered by Sophie Ralston for the first time on his latest start. Worth a second look in the 7.30 at Kempton Park, anyway.

11/2 with Bill Hill for the faithful.

His run at York looked like a horse who'd fallen out of love with the game (a bit of tail swishing if memory serves). Won't be the first or last and doesn't owe TB anything.

That said, me deserting the ship is a tip in itself given the run i'm on.

Usual carefree trot around the block in prospect then
