On the subject of Moeen, how many test cricketers bat and bowl using a different hands?

Quite a lot of people bat left and bowl right (including my Dad and one of my brothers... but not at Test level!).

Richard Hadlee
Ashley Giles
Chris Gayle
Ravi Shastri
Clive Lloyd
David Gower

etc... etc...

As I lover of statistics I'd be interested to know whether England have ever won a test match before where two of their bowlers have each gone 0 for 100+ runs in the match.

I'd be interested to see the scorecard of any test match where that's happened.

Who has done that in this match?? Woakes 0-74 and Jordan 0-81

I posted that before Ali just took those two wickets, and while Woakes was bowling. At that point it was on the cards.

I've done well this morning, my first post led to the 2 early wickets and now I get back from a DUMP and find another 2 wickets have fallen.

Moeen Ali 19-4-51-5 :clap2:

How about that for a part-time spinner against India?

Buttler one dismissal away from equalling test record for most on debut.

It's all over.

England win by 266 runs and with 2 sessions to spare.

Series level at 1-1 with 2 to play.

What a great test match performance from England... batsmen, bowlers and captain alike

SIX for Moeen, he'd better get that jug in.

Great stuff. 6 wickets for a "part time" spinner - I think he could become a gem.

England win by 266 runs.

Man of the match - Captain Cook for me. Scored runs and did everything right as captain.

Ali now just 2 wickets behind test spin legend Ian Salisbury.

Excellent result lets hope the loss at Lords was the very lowest point of our decline and that from now on we are on the way steadily back up. Nice to see Ali in the wickets and bamboozling the Indian batsmen by the simple expedient of not spinning his spin bowling.
