It's not about whether Jordan or Woakes are crocked for the 4th test, it's whether or not they can be effective in the second innings of this one. And 3.25 days of constant bowling/fielding is a big ask.

I didn't say it was about Jordan or Woakes being crocked for the 4th test. We have two bowlers we need to manage and two who are expendable. Therefore, follow on and use Jordan and Woakes to the max. Anyway, with the follow-on there's a chance this could be over in 4 days in which case Anderson and Broad get some proper rest on Day 5.

Jimmy TRAPS Jadeja in front (in his 23rd over), nice inswinger to the left hander. Pitched middle - hitting middle.

That is a BIG wicket! After nearly an hour and a half without one

275-7

Still NO way I would even think about enforcing a follow on , should it happen!

Anderson is SO the main man for England. Time for Woakes to come to the party?

If we wrap it up in the next 10 overs I would be very tempted to bowl again as our first innings lead will be 250+ plus we would have two bites of the cherry with the new ball. Anything above 10 overs I would bat again.

Good work Stuart Broad, finally an edge finds the fielder! 313-8, England back on course.

Close of play on Day 3

India 323-8 (102 overs)

Dhoni 50, Shami 4

Still trailing by 254 runs.

7 wickets and 298 runs in the 88 over day... a good day for England... with power to pile on the pressure during tomorrow.

Textbook stuff from England this morning.

Now let's build a slow innings, 204-1 at the close of play, making sure we can't lose, that's what matters.

England chose not to enforce the follow-on. Is that the right decision?

We've had a nights rest, and barely bowled this morning, it would have been tempting to stick them back in.

But, this isn't a bad choice, but have to give ourselves most of, if not all of the evening session to bowl at them, so really need to crack on. If we are cautious, build a ridiculously big lead and only give ourselves an hour at them tonight, then we may as well hand them the series now.
