This makes no sense?! Why on earth are Man City after a 25 year old Ozzie free agent no one has basically ever heard of? I could understand if he was a youngster.... seems totally strange.

Financially it's spot on for City. Sign him for nothing, loan him out. Get a loan fee, % of wages covered. If he's any good they'll keep him. If not, sell him for a few quid. It's a no lose for them. Look at the money Chelsea are making on Victor Moses.

I'd suggest it's more like, bring him in, loan him out - if he increases in value, sell him on, otherwise - sell him on.

It's ****ing crazy...clubs like City can sign a shed load of players on this basis, cutting out Football League clubs from signing them, loaning them out and selling for a ****ing great big profit if they're any good. A neat monopolistic business model.

Any team could do it in reality I imagine. A 2m loan fee for Vydra to Reading. Are we getting a loan fee for for JFC to MK Dons? Who knows.

Colunga de-singed, and Chicksen out on loon.

The squad is now just 24 players, and seems short of numbers.

Surely 1 ( or maybe 2 ) incomming soon ? ???

Or perhaps players coming back from injury? JFC went just as Crofts was ready to come back. Could Harper/Hambo be ready to take Colunga's back up position now?

yeah that would make sense, have to think Hambo is close to joining the U21 squad with Harper just a couple of weeks aways.

Calleri won't be joining till Jan (if at all)
