Heading for shore
Leeds at The Goldstone late 80's me and three mates got chased by about 50 of them up the Old Shoreham Road after rather unwisely giving them some verbal after the game. Managed to get away just and hid in someone's front garden. My mate was actually in a dustbin like something out of Top Cat. Funny now, scary then.

We were a small group of mainly Lancing lads in our teens back then and decided to start a firm called the Coastway Service Firm (CSF) named after the British Rail service of the time. We weren't particulalrly violent but did used to get involved now and again, but being honest 99% of it was running around and maybe getting one good punch in. We had these calling cards with the BR logo and the CSF route. Stupidly in hindsight we left some on a train to Victoria which ended up in the hands of the West Ham Inter City Firm. They sent a couple of their boys down to check us out and tracked us down to the Slots in West Street where we hung out at weekends. Their faces were a picture when they saw us spotty little oiks, although they did take one of us outside up and alley and pulled a knife, as a warning not to get too cocky. We disbanded shortly afterwards. Kids eh!
