Well done that man - wish more refs had the balls to let play continue whilst wannbe thespians play dead.

Aside from Oilise's pathetic histrionics being ignored on two occasions, a particular highlight was Gallagher going down in the second half around the halfway line in front of the west. He pretended to be hurt, looked at the ref who was ignoring him, saw that we were breaking with the ball on the far side and, almost as if touched by the healing hands of Jesus, sprang to his feet and sprinted back.

As Chris Sutton would say: "Come on Gallagher, you're better than that".

Agree with all of that…interesting as he was a late replacement and the same guy who reffed last weeks Cup game…JC and WA were very critical of him and were fearing the worst tonight

six feet beneath the moon...
same ref that we had at west brom in the cup, Rob Jones.

remember him making his PL debut with us in the 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United a couple of seasons ago and thinking he was a decent ref, glad to see he's still setting a good standard

Its about time that this tactic of going down in an attempt to stop an attack was stamped out.
Well done to the ref this evening for not falling for it, but its about time a yellow card was issued for this playacting.
And why did Dan Burn return the ball to Palace, we should have kept it and started another attack given their player was clearly not injured.

Sadly, the ref DID fall for their defenders diving every time one of our attacking players got near them. Time and time again, their defenders would dive when shielding or receiving the ball. The ref fell for it constantly playing 20/21 rules when we’re in 21/22 when giving a foul has a much higher bar.

Such a shame, it relieved some intense pressure on Palace a number of frustrating times.

He did compensate by flattening Hughes…ref saw through the theatrics .no yellow card shown and Hughes miraculously recovered in seconds

About 5 minutes before our equaliser, they tried to get Burn sent off (near the ES) after a powderpuff ‘melee’.

The intelligent ref simply told Burn to calm it and didn’t even issue a yellow, quite rightly.

Grandstanding twats Atkinson or Friend would’ve loved that moment to become the story.

To be fair if you're Palace and you know you are lacking in every footballing department on the pitch, you're going to try every trick in the book.

I've seen them do this all season and many seasons before.

Their new players this season in Guehi, Gallagher, Olise and Hughes did themselves no favours this evening. They'll fit right into that club.

Look at the difference in class with the blatant penalty. Veltman doesn't even appeal let alone throw himself around on the pitch, yet Viera is ranting and raving at the fourth official. They'll never change.

Watch Veltz a little more closely
He’s good at those type of games

Not to mention the miraculous recoveries from faux head injuries, forlorn on the turf, peeping to see what was happening in play.

Feigning injury seems to be worse this season than before. Players have always tried it but now they’re increasingly pretending to have head injuries which, for obvious reasons, is a pretty stupid thing to do. Someone may not get the rapid treatment they genuinely need as a result.

Perhaps any player with a ‘head injury’ that prevents an opposition attack should have to go off the field to be assessed for a couple of minutes.

Yep, well done ref.

Olise has the potential to be the next Zaha in terms of panto villain in games against them. Hopefully he'll learn to cry just as badly and continue to be mainly ineffective as a result.

That was the best refereeing performance I have seen in one of our games this season. I don’t blame him for missing the penalty call with so many bodies in there and overall he let the game flow. I can’t barely remember one decision where I was fuming at him.
