From a window promised so much, they were being hyped as the next Oasis three singles and a weak album and that was it. shame cause I thought they were pretty good.

The B-side to the Oasis song Roll with it. Sky Sports used it on Goals on Sunday years ago. Name escapes me now.

Also Fade Away by the same band (not Slide Away)

think that is 'Talk Tonight' which is absolute quality.

'Where Were You' - The Mekons

I thought that there'd be nothing on here that I'd heard of, but I actually have that.

Good record.

As for obscure songs, I could bore for England on this subject: there are just too many.

I think that might be Rockin' Chair, Talk tonight and Aquiesce are the best oasis b sides

Another great b side is the delaney by the libertines

Like others, I could sit here and do a list that runs into thousands, but will stick with:

Red Guitars, Good Technology

Don't ask me why but I really love Germany's 1979 Eurovision song contest entry "Dschingis Khan" by a group imaginatively ALSO called "Dschingis Khan".

It sounds like a very, very poor man's Boney M, the lyrics are the without doubt the cheesiest ever recorded ("He sired seven children/in one night/and he could only laugh/at his opponents!") And the group are guilty of sporting a large bearded dancer caked in eye shadow who cossack-danced and little else, like some weird 1970s Teutonic Bez. But I LOVE it.

Would have to say a northern soul monster... I'm On My Way - Dean Parrish. But I could have picked one of many from that genre. It was a minor hit in 1975 (got to about No. 44) after gaining popularity at Wigan Casino, having been originally released in 1968.
