shaolinpunk - In case you haven't realised, you need to pick again as your original pick was taken.

This round of picks has taken so long I have pencilled in Christian Walton as my player with 70 caps ;)

When i saw you post i had hoped we have reached you in the order but sadly not.

It could well be Christian Walton's Great, Great Great Grandson by the time we get to the last round of picks.

(I think that if everyone takes their full 6 hours to pick, we are looking at a finish in around 71.5 days time  )

Balls.

In that case, I'm going to add one of the finest defenders of the Premier League era. Signed for peanuts, he went on to become an Anfield legend... I just hope his lack of ability as a manager doesn't blind people judging his playing ability...

Kind of shocked that this guy hasn't been picked (that I can see)!!!!
I need another forward, someone who can score goals and will link up nicely with Ian Rush.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Welsh wizard.... MARK HUGHES.

Two time premier league winner and played against us in 1992. It was between him and Sturridge for my last pick.

Wondered how long till someone picked him just because of his, how can I put it, lack of managerial prowess.

There's no doubting his playing ability - goal.com named him their defender of the noughties - but having him in a team to be judged by Brighton fans is a gamble

Why do you think I picked Cantona, Kanchelskis and Gus?

I was struggling to decide between two when this morning I stumbled upon this fella, he may not be a Bergkamp or a Shearer but he ticks more boxes than Ticky McBoxticker the World Box Ticking Champion from Tickboxtown.

I give you Man City and England's...James 'Boring' Milner!

I can't find any trace of him having been picked before so, unless I'm mistaken, my next draftee is James Lee Duncan ("Jamie") Carragher.

I'm sure he will get on swimmingly with Rio and Wayne.

Wakey wakey @GuyFawkes ... you're up!

My next pick is a forward who usually plays as a left or right sided winger. he is known for his dribbling skills, speed, crossing ability and his accurate left foot long-range shots from the right wing.

He helped Chelsea bring home two consecutive Premier League titles (2004–05, 2005–06) and he had a win rate of 82% whilst playing Premier League matches only for them

He has also won FA Cup (2006–07) the Football League Cup (2004–05, 2006–07) and the FA Community Shield (2005) whilst at Chelsea

After leaving Chelsea he has since won La Liga (2007–08) and the Supercopa de España (2008) with Real Madrid and at Bayern Munich he has won: Bundesliga: 2009–10, 2012–13, 2013–14. DFB-Pokal: 2009–10, 2012–13, 2013–14. DFB-Supercup: 2010, 2012 UEFA Champions League: 2012–13 and was Runner-up: 2009–10, 2011–12 UEFA Super Cup: 2013 and FIFA Club World Cup: 2013.

He has appeared at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 UEFA European Championships, and the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups. He has finished the FIFA World Cup as Runner-up 2010 and in Third Place 2014.

Fitting in my team in either the 'has reached the World Cup final' category or into the 'has won another top league category'

My next pick is:
ARJEN ROBBEN

Firstly, wow - how did Robben fall this low in the draft - I picked him in the first round in the World XI!

Anyway, my next pick is probably the best central defender of his generation, someone who didn't train because he had dodgy knees, was an alcoholic and yet when he stepped out onto the field he was the best player on the pitch pretty much every time.

Nicknamed God by Villa fans, (and for the purposes of this draft he played v Brighton for Man Utd back in 83, the league game) - I give you - Oohhh Aahhh Paul McGrath

That pick annoys me not because I had him on my provisional list, but because I'd missed him entirely.

That is a great pick. I hadn't even considered him...in my memory he retired in the first season or two of the premier league, way past his peak. Turns out I was wrong and he was still winning trophies in 1996.
