The wiping of all the accumulated cards at this stage of the tournament, whilst I see the idea of not having people suspended for a final, effectively grants a FREE YELLOW to every single player, in the semi-final. Anyone breaks from midfield, and you have ten outfield players each with one free tactical foul, to use as required. Potentially you could see a LOT of yellows in one of these games!

An excellent point. Even the bigger priced players are in the frame (see Hazard and Mbappe last night.) It is possible that every player is overpriced to be carded (including the 'keepers for obvious late timewasting reasons.)
