Thought The Office was the funniest thing on the box since Father Ted, until I saw Phoenix Nights - more gentle and good natured.

IMHO Jerry St Clair and Brian Potter are the finest British comedy characters since Fletcher and Mr McKay

My favourite TV comedy character has to be Danny DeVito as Louie on Taxi - if you ever get a chance to see some of them again don't miss it, comedy genius
