How many of you protested for the WASPI women?
*runs to look it up on wiki so you don't have to*

'Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) is a voluntary UK-based organisation founded in 2015 that campaigns against the way in which the state pension age for men and women was equalised. They call for the millions of women affected by the change to receive compensation.'

Would we really want our protest to be like that.
As a matter of interest by a number of years I think France has lowest retirement age in Europe

Macron doesn't give a s**t what happens.

He's in his second term and can't run for another.

BTW Greeks can retire at 62 if they've worked for 40 years although the official retirement age is 67 now.

Until a few years ago it was about 45 (*) but the Germans got fed up paying the Greeks pensions and it changed during the time that Greece very nearly left the EU (remember Grexit!)

(*) That's probably an exaggeration, but it WAS certainly very low until the rest of Europe realised that Greece was bust, yet continued to pension off a huge swathe of the workforce at a comparatively young age. Of course keeping people on at work longer has meant massive youth unemployment (it did reach 50%)

Gods country fortnightly
Proper protest for raising the pension age to 3 years lower than us (and they live longer), they don't take shit.

Here someone glues themselves to a lamp post and the government essentially outlaws them.

The public reaction is, move on mustn't grumble...

So, in this day and age, we must all do as we are told? George Orwell was right.
I think there's protesting and then there's needless destruction, environmental damage and risk to people's safety.

Bath, Somerset.
Covid is irrelevant, the majority have been dumbed down and brainwashed over the last 40 years and are mere puppets.
This brilliant book, first published in 1987, explained how popular tabloid culture and trashy TV programmes were pacifying people and eroding their willingness or ability to think or act.

Of course, Aldous Huxley had also prophesied this much earlier in Brave New World: the population kept quiet and obedient not through surveillance by 'big brother' or direct State-suppression, but endless sources of entertainment, including cheap booze, soft drugs and casual sex. They'd be too pissed, stoned or shagged-out to want to rebel.
