Following on from Waltons performance last Saturday who do you think is the best referee in the country.
We all know Howard Webb is the official number 1 but do you agree?
Have you seen anyone from the lower leagues who has impressed you?
Do you wish some of the referees from yesteryear were still officiating?

I cannot think off the top of my head of the name of any one particular ref who I have considered to be good but can think of the name of many who have been crap. Perhaps that is the sign of a good ref that you do not notice him and remember him.

I wouldn't say he was perfect - just less imperfect than most others.

He did, unlike practically every other ref, at least demand some respect from players though. Usually by looking at them.
