In Cornwall, with the palm trees no less...
Shocking that we've had the plows out here once, for less than 2", and the sanders (or 'gritters') out maybe two more times, and it's the first of December.
This in a corner of the world known for its winters.

I’m not sure if it was a heavy frost or a dusting of snow overnight, but there’s quite a bit of white in BN9 this morning.

I have to confess I put the heating on yesterday morning for 2 hours! Can't believe I went so early. Wasn't on until February last year.

Looking out the window late last night the cars were well frosted up …so I’m going for the former

Rain on its way tomorrow n Monday
Cars I can understand but roofs are white too, but not hedges and shrubs.

Edit it’s very misty, so I’m now thinking freezing fog.

It was a very heavy frost indeed, the more insulated the outbuilding the thicker it is...Our newly roofed workshop in BN43 was about an inch thick!! Whereas the neighbours asbestos virtually had nothing...

This has been a little bonus cold snap, as generally with an El Nino winter, the colder weather is normally more common towards the end of Winter. The extremely cold weather in central/northern Europe has been historic (Munich getting 40cm of snow in 12 hours for e.g.) and it looks to stay put, which means there is always a chance that we could tap into that. It'll get milder over the next couple of weeks here but I wouldn't be surprised if something colder happens again this month.

Anyone see any snow/sleet on the south coast Worthing/Brighton at the moment? Something is coming ashore, but what?
