my other half is stranded on the a303...think he may be there for the night..

Ouch....not good, hope he's OK......doesn't look like any chance of the weather improving until later tomorrow. Hopefully near a service station or somewhere warm..........lots of pretty barren and exposed stretches on the 303 though.

Worthing
-0.3c here now. Worrying. Esp as the radar is showing sleet just off the coast.

No sign of anything but minus 1 in Upper Findon.

MetOffice just altered our forecast to heavy snow later this evening.

With moderate snowfall from 2pm tomorrow.

The met office invariably get most forecasts correct.
Where I work, they give out a forecast for the air traffic to decide and make a decision whether Isomex (runway de-icer), is needed to be layed on the airfield.

Good to get that insight, with an array of conflicting forecasts ranging from Apple Weather, the BBC and all the websites put forward on this thread.

I'm starting to think the radars are not working properly. Been over us for a bit now without any snow/sleet or rain.

I think we are wasting our time, not expecting anything after todays dismal performance.
