Thought the same when I got off the train about 8.30 tonight. Definitely milder.

Apparently it's sleeting in Durrington at the moment, so it's possible. This evening is a possibility as well, as the wind turns Easterly. Then by tomorrow, it's all over

I've not had time to look at the model output or the forecasts this morning, but I still think there's one last chance this evening, as we briefly pull in some very cold air from the continent on an Easterly wind, and we might get some snow showers.

then from tomorrow, High Pressure builds in, cuts off the cold air, and we're into a cloudy anticyclonic spell of weather. Dull.

Just had a look at the GFS - there's a good chance of snow tonight - especially for those in the East of the county.

so, for example, around the Eastbourne area, you get this:

Which shows 100%, 100%, 95% snow chances - with temps near freezing - admittedly with low amounts.

Further West, it's still cold, but less snow and consequently lower percentages (purely down to less precipitation).

So, I'd suggest a chance of some laying snow overnight- but nothing too significant.

It'll be windy tonight and tomorrow, as well, with a really biting E to NE wind...
