Do you believe a woman grabbing a man who she isn't in a relationship with and kissing him on the lips is equally unacceptable/sexual assault?

Course it is. Would you want anyone you're not attracted to grabbing you by the face and kissing you? I wouldn't.

Let's say your boss or a client grabbed hold of you at work and kissed you in front of your coworkers. Would it be ok in your eyes?

Or some bloke at the Amex after we scored a goal?

Did Sean Kirrane make a complaint? Has she kissed her jockey before when her horse won? If she hasn’t’, then it is sexual assault.

I’ve finally found the kiss.
It was on Pornhub of all places.
Blimey.

A brief kiss in front of thousands of people is NOT an assault.
So what length of kiss and number in attendance would constitute a sexual assault in your eyes?

I mean to make your statement you must have parameters in mind, I’m intrigued to understand what they are.

As with most things in life its all about the context of the specific situation/ people involved. In a moment of huge celebration with people you know then it might happen.
Sometimes acceptable sometimes not, as in this case. If there is a problem then apologise (which he did).

I'm not sure if you're aware of the wider context, although the OP did mention it.

Take a look at this article by a Spanish journalist: https://www.theguardian.com/comment...o-women-spain-football-se-acabo-jenni-hermoso

Consent is what matters here, not context.

However, if you’d like to add context to this particular situation;

He got “carried away” and kissed her.
She did not get carried away and kiss him.
She has stated she did not want the kiss, did not consent to the kiss, and did not like the kiss.

That is sexual assault. Everyone can have their own opinion on whether or not her feelings or opinion matter.

I am sad to read that some posters feel they don’t.

But sexual assault it is.

Apologizing is not a get out of jail free card..as Rubialis is discovering. Your posts on this subject suggest that you think you can decide what happens to Jennifer Hermoso’s body. You certainly don’t understand consent. But your username does rather give away your reason for being on this board.

Wasn’t it the classic false apology?

I’m sorry that you were upset by my completely innocent actions.

Watched his behaviour at the time and I thought, steady on mate and this is a bit much, bit weird! Subsequently saw the crotch grabbing video (has everyone commenting also seen that?). To me, first thought was - at half time has this bloke been snorting cocaine out of the Queen's belly button?! I mean there's exuberant and there's plain weird, over the top and creepy. At the time I was also surprised all the players didn't seem at all bothered by his behaviour, the player kissed is seen turning and smiling at the trophy - but also appreciate this means nothing and doesn't excuse his behaviour, which is bang out of order. A grovelling apology and he might have got away with it but as mentioned he has tripled-down instead and you can tell he was a union rep in the past - arrogant and a bully. I hope he is fired. Also, though, it is obvious to me imho that the women are using this incident in a real push for change, and so should they. Even if it is at his expense.

@goldstone and @Wokeworrier demonstrating yet again why I have them on ignore.

Those of you patiently explaining to them what a sexual assault is, I salute your indefatigability.

(One day NSC will have a left wing idiot challenging, err, something or other, in a graceless and boorish manner. I'm sure of it. Certain.)

He certainly is discovering that as there are clearly lots of agendas being played out around this case.

My posts on this subject clearly stated his lip kiss was innapropriate and wrong BUT, in the context of an epic celebration, perhaps an error not neccaserrily worthy of an automatic social media pile on/cancelling, especially after an apology.

As for the comment around consent, I don't believe for one minute that any member of the outrage police will be reporting that horse owner for sexual assault (clearly in that moment no consent from him) or believe anyone would have made a fuss/ screamed sexual assault if she had planted a kiss on his lips in wild celebration. Anyone saying otherwise is a bit of a fibber.
