Right considering we have no players left after bans and injuries, may i propose a return to the steve coppell inspired 3-5-2 that we played:

-----------------Kuipers/Smith------------------

----------El-Abd-----Virgo-----Tunnicliffe-------

-----Dicker----Thornhill-----J. Smith-----Crofts--

---------------Bennett/M.Wright----------------

------------Dickinson------Forster--------------

From what i saw at Huddersfield the midfield had nothing going forward at all, and the defense played like absolute flids. This would enable dicker and crofts to support the back three in wider positions.

We would need someone at the head of the midfield, what what i heard from the Stockport match he was lively and full of creativity, he can be replaced with M.Wright or McLeod if needs be when he tires. Even Davies could be a good shout to link the midfield and attack, and don't forget Cox.

Navarro wouldn't get into the 18, purely because i think he is terrible...

What do people think? Worth a shot?

I'd rather El-Abd was nowhere near the starting 11.

Also, Dicker and crofts as wing backs? Both central midfielders.

I like the look of that except Elphicks banned, so would put Cook, or maybe El-Abd :(
And swap Dicker and Crofts

I know they are, by all means there is Whing for one spot but he hasn't been great this season so far, and why not they are both pretty good linking with people.

Regarding El-Abd, i agree but... what other choice do we have. Elphick Out, Hawkins Out, J.Wright Out, McNulty Out. That Leaves Steve Cook or another academy player to go straight into the Lions Den

3-5-2? Not a chance!

4-5-1 for Millwall......and hopefully we'll play a left back at left back for once - time for young Cook to step up; he did OK last season on the couple of occasions he was called upon, I seem to remember.

Kate Moss has more width than that formation, you can't play 4 central midfielders and then a winger through the centre!

I would play 442

Kuipers
Whing Virgo Tunnicliffe Cook(/Livermore if we really really have to)
M Wright Dicker Crofts(/Smith) Bennett
Dickinson Forster

Id go 4-5-1

Smith

Whing Tunnicliffe Virgo Livermore/Cook

Bennett J Smith Dicker Crofts Cox/Wright

Dickinson

Give Jamie Smith a chance, looked really good before taken off at Hudds. Dicker has to start and Navarro should be dropped. Left back is a major problem but would probably rather have Livermore in there than Cook. Millwall is his old club, possible point to prove? Also has some experience.

If it doesnt work out, can easily change to 4-4-2.

I think we should have at least 5 at the back. To start with it would offer the greatest resistance, then, after one or two were sent off, we'd still have 3 backs left on the pitch. We really don't need any strikers on the pitch, as the rest of the side don't know what to do with them. Using four defensive midfielders would further shore up the back, and then put someone we don't like up front to see if thay can get onto the long balls hoofed up there by the backs.
