I've mentioned earlier that I wouldn't mind him and the Swansea owners are always keen on money and selling their best players so shouldn't be impossible.

Obviously won't happen if Maupay stays around.

Even if Maupay goes, are we looking for a striker?

Welbeck - he's got big biceps now, so almost impossible he'll get injuries. 38 games minimum
Ferguson - Surely ready to play
Enciso and Trossard - Have got target man written all over them

Hmm, yeh ok maybe we should be looking at getting someone in

Pros - Has been converted to playing as a number 10. A supporting striker who can add goals, sounds like a useful option.
Cons- One good season in the championship

This rumour floated briefly earlier in the summer. Suspect it’s resurrection is linked to the possibility of Maupay going but hey, you never know.

I wouldn't rule it out just because Maupay is sticking around for this season. He's still out of contract at the end of the season so it's possible this guy could be signed now and loaned back to Swansea, or someone else, for the season.

Buy and loan back?

As other posters have alluded, we have options even if Maupay leaves and Ferguson goes out on loan.

The pipe-line of talent must never end. What a time to be an Albion supporter

Sure, could be a solution... but I think if he's not intended for this season, both clubs would just wait with the transfer until next season. Brighton to see if he can keep up hs production, and Swansea to earn a few extra million if he does and to try to get into at least playoffs next season.

Unproven. We need a target man. Is he?

Evan Ferguson hasn't even reached his 18th birthday yet, so no way can he be considered ready to start Premier League matches!

Throw him into the team now, and it may well hinder his progress.

Bold comment. Any recent evidence to suggest throwing a young striker into the team might hinder progress???
