Here
The so-called "middle order" we're completely blasted away by Somerset in both innings. Ok, Somerset had the best of the conditions but our middle order batting was shocking, in particular Yardy Machin and HB. Nash and Wright were playing in the 2nd XI game at Horsham and both got half centuries so hopefully they'll be back and with Prior also in line for a batting slot in the next couple of games maybe this game will just be a blip. Credit to Somerset though, they batted better, bowled better and fielded better.

Carried bats

Has it happened before that 2 different batsman have opened in both innings and each carried his bat in one of them?

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question - but its of no consequence for SCCC, as Joyce is out for 93. 190 for 8, still about 50 short of the total.

Still top, just letting the others catch up a little. Got to be fair.
