That seems a pretty disappointing attendance to me. By far the lowest in the Amex era (the previous low was 1,896 for the 2011-12 Final between Crawley Down and Whitehawk).

I don't know if that is due more to the general apathy amongst Albion fans for the U-23s, or the Wednesday night scheduling?

I think the Wednesday night, plus Bognor, Eastbourne or Worthing would have also brought more fans
