Terrific driven 4 from Coles to WIN the game :clap2:

Brilliant. Well done Sussex.
The only minor niggle is - The video coverage generally is excellent but why do the editors cut away from the winning moment? WouLd have been nice to see Pujura congratulating Coles. Not the first time this has happened. And it’s the same with the immediate aftermath of wickets. They cut to the royal London logo as they clip up the replay.

All of this coverage will be being 'produced' by one man band production companies, or more likely university students, being offered real-life 'broadcasting experience' in return for their free labour.

As such I find it hard to be too unkind or critical. Just glad to have all these free streams, tbh.

The picture you paint may have been true a few years ago . But going by what the commentators have said , it’s a more sophisticated operation now - the coverage is outsourced to specialist companies with vision mixers , directors and several camera operators.
That said what I’m talking about is page one stuff - hold the shot on the action at the most emotive and crucial part of the game.
It is a fantastic service though . We should have to pay for it really.
I’m looking forward to next Tuesday when I can actually go.

It was free to get into the ground today too

I wonder if we'll see Ward out after today. He's contributed very little to the campaign and Ollie Carter must be wondering what he has to do.

And I hope Flower has a word with Alsop, Rawlins and Ibrahim because they, like Ward, played ridiculous shots

Good post .
Ward is a frustrating one. He has several of the Attributes needed to be a modern cricketer . In particular the ability to smash it.
You can’t keep getting out like that though. He’s going backwards.
Any news on Haines ? I think they said six weeks about six weeks ago

They've been quiet about Haines. I reckon the injury will take longer than we think. He was injured 37 days ago - so it's not quite six weeks. He'd be very handy to get back, not only is he a quality batter but he's a useful bowling option too

Hopefully Haines would be available IF , a seismic if, we made it to the final. They were saying yesterday no Pujura for final although he would be available for other cup games,. Maybe we’d recruit another temp overseas to replace him for the final if we got there. Presuming Rizwan is gone for good. Also presumably the hundred players presumably won’t be available for any of the counties in the one day cup. It’s a terrifying prospect if Yorkshire, Surrey etc were suddenly up to full strength.

Agree with your post but isn’t it a sad reflection on the state of our game when a red ball cup final team could comprise players who have played no part in getting that team to the final.

Ali Orr Pujara'ing his way to 143no (126 balls) in the RL Cup. Still 12 overs to go too, so this could be a monster score (both for him and Sussex - it's 252/3 so far)

How long have we got him until England come knocking...?

Sussex can bat but England can’t? What weird universe is this?

I reckon the England batters could probably snaffle a few against the Somerset academy side (maybe not Crawley on current form)
