It seems to be muddled thinking by the management. Overseas players coming and going and only playing a game or two. Seconding other county's cast offs and expecting them to want to play for Sussex. Alsop alone has been a success. Beer should be playing T20. He is only contracted for white ball for goodness sake. Haines is a rising star. As was said by albionalex, surely he would have been the better option than Crocombe who only bowled the one over. Hopefully the sale of the apartments will provide the required income to rebuild this once great club that has become easy pickings in all formats.

I suspect the cash from the flats will guarantee some non player salaries first. I do hope we get a continual stream of income ((ie rents) rather than a lump sum otherwise we’ll be skint in 2 years.

Good luck getting anyone to pay £30 to watch a losing team who can’t qualify for the next stage.

Alsop not playing the first two games has cost us too.

It’s possible to make excuses for a lot of Salisbury and Kirtley’s failings - injuries, no money, good players wanted to leave club etc.
But not playing Alsop in the first two games was just unforgivably poor judgment.

As for today, why play Crocombe? He’s proven cannon fodder at this level.

Seems bizarre that Alsop, our 2nd best batter, isn't coming in the top 3. Surely want him to face as many balls as possible.
He normally comes in quite quickly thanks to those who precede him....still, tonight we are having a bit of a go at this, although it's too late to make an impact on the table.

Awful again, Bopara playing a four day game.

This lot are pathetic.

It’s crap saying they’re skint it’s not true.

Decent total in the end. Nice to see Jordan take some stick.

Thankful for a few at the end but not going to be enough, I expect.

We have lost any bottle to take the game to the opposition.
