Hi all

Recommendations needed for a pub in/around Brighton with a garden and or play area for over excited and potentially annoying 3 year olds.

Ideally serving a decent roast.

All advice gratefully received, cheers

The Swiss cottage in shoreham is brilliant for kids they have play area out side and ducks big pond and the food is two meals for £10

The Kings Head in Bramber is great - fantastic play area - big garden and you can hop over the back garden and take stroll up the riverbank on a sunny day - perfect to keep them happy and knacker them out!

Haven't been for a while but from memory The Jugs at Kingston has a play area, or The Shepherd and Dog at Fulking

Not been there for ages but it has a reputation for appaling food. It may be cheap, but it is for a reason. Not good.

Don't think the Juggs does have a play area anymore - was there last summer whilst out mountain biking and don't recall it. There is one around the corner, but that's not ideal for 3 yr olds I guess!

Thanks everyone. That's loads to be getting on with but if anyone else has any gems then post them up.

Plake jr just pissed himself/all over the lift lobby in our flats so we will probably have to stay local today.

Probably The Terraces or Beach Vollyball for those who aren't keen on incontinent psychotic toddlers.

Cheers all, ended up going to the Newmarket on the A27.

Staff were really nice, food was carvery which is always hit and miss and today it was hospital canteen quality. Puddings very good. Nice bit of grassy play area a bit spoiled by the LPG tanks and vista of the derelict petrol station/A27. And those trees that smell of spunk.

Probably wouldn't go back but we had a nice time so thanks for the recommendation.

The dyke? Had a table booked for two and we jumped in herbie (car) and stated her up and tried putting it into reverse and heard a crunching noise and a bang and the clutch has gone. Was looking forward to the Sunday roast so now having Sausage peas and mash :(

The missus mentioned the Dyke but we weren't sure if it had an area for kids to play. Any good?
