Interesting, so do you think Hawkins has been signed as a replacement for Elphick or Lynch?

It seems quite possible.

I would say as a part-replacement, not a definite replacement; almost a pre-cautionary measure.

What about???

5-3-2 Wingbacks?

Back 5.

Whing, El abd, Hawkins, Elphick, new signing.

(with Terry on the bench!)

Whether El-Abd stays or not we NEED a proper left back having 'lost' 3 at once.

A full back is a specialist position and not having at least one will blow our promotion chances. You've just got to look how we fared before we got Wingy.

Lynch is not the right person and this is probably one of the most important decisions for MA - let's hope he get's it right.

It's starting to get to a point when I honestly think El-Abd won't sign a new contract, shame really.

I Agree, full back is a specialist postion and just sticking someone out on the left will not do, if you watched the England game last night wes brown palyed as a centre back stuck out on the right, but when johnson came on he was up and down the line supporting the attack as well as doing his defensive duties which every good full back should do, sticking lynch el abd or whoever out there will not do.
