so that's 100 runs for 1 wicket since lunch, need more wickets if we don't want another white wash series

Possibly the most boring days test cricket I've ever had the misfortune of seeing. Sri Lankas bowling attack is absolutely moderate, god knows how we managed to lose to these mugs in the 1st test.

We lost by a combination of letting them make 300+ after being 3 for cheap and then being unable to resist throwing the bat. Finally after four straight defeats we have rediscovered the art of occupying the crease and grinding out runs.

Just in time for the plane home, ruddy brilliant. No doubt we'll have forgotten how to grind out runs when we get humiliated by India next winter.

Pietersen is absolutely RUINING the Sri Lankan attack after lunch.

308/3 now, with KP unbeaten on 68.
Cook out earlier for 94, with Trott also back in the hutch for 64.

Cricinfo are saying KP's got a warning, possibly for time wasting. How is he time-wasting when Dilshan's stopping his run-up? It's either legal or illegal, it can't be legal for a bit and then has to stop
