Frankly couldn't be bothered to trawl through all the posts of crap so this might be fixtures :

President Bush - a very good reason for having the head of our Royal Family as head of state. President Blair or President Brown - good grief, what a nightmare

it amuses me that so many people relate class to the size of ones bank account, where one is educated, how one speaks, how one dresses, one's hobbies, the car one drives, where one lives and so on. One can not buy class, It is in one's ancestry and that alone. A person of the upper classes can lose everything but not be relegated to the ranks of the lower classes. A member of the lower classes can make bundles of money, send their children to Eton, Harrow, Winchester, Rodean or any of the other top Public Schools, drive a big expensive car, wear the most expensive clothes, drink the finest wines etc, but this does not elevate them to the upper classes.

Are they really more of a nightmare that, Prime Minister Bush, Prime Minister Brown or Prime Minister Blair? Given that we don't have to follow the same model as other republics their role could be similar to their current role.
