You would never find me at such an event as I pay to watch players play for Brighton for which they are handsomely paid not socialise with them but I am glad that all who attended it enjoyed it. Each to their own. Did he mention what he was going to do when he was inevitably released at the end of the season,.

Is that a poster or an invitation card? If it's a poster any chance that I can purchase a copy? It's just brilliant and unusual and damn cool, and I would put it up in our lounge - my wife might then leave me. But hell, art is art.
It was the ticket I designed for people to come along with. I guessed people might want to get it signed by the main man.

Sounds like a good night all round. Some enjoyable stuff being written,

What was the Venue like for holding it? Never been in there.
Excellent. Food is good, not cheap but not extortionate either, nice spot.

Sounds and looks like it was a great night and a well deserved tribute in spite of the moaning from the usual dissenting voice.

Well done to all.

We didn't do this to merely spend time with a well-paid footballer. If anyone thinks that, they've missed the point entirely.

We did this to show thanks and appreciation to a hero, an ambassador and a thoroughly decent person.

I was just about to write - unbelievable isn't it.

But sadly it just isn't.

Did he mention what he was going to do when he was inevitably released at the end of the season,.

Cocaine and prostitutes for six months, before opening up a chain of pop up lebanese vegetarian street food stalls in run down towns in South Wales.

It sounds like a great evening.

Well done to all those who organised it.

Let's hope the club keeps him on in some capacity at the end of the season, or if he wants to continue playing elsewhere we make sure he comes back to us after he stops playing.

It was a really enjoyable evening out with Mrs Earle and Earle Jr. Chatted with a few acquaintances from the Albion family, enjoyed a pleasant Basque themed meal, we had photos with Calde, enjoyed a laugh with some of the humourists on the night. The boy won signed boots which he promptly shared with his delighted mum and the atmosphere on the night could best be described as warm, friendly and appreciative. Calde is a lovely guy who has done much more than just play for the team. The 80 odd people there on the night just get it. It's why he was voted player of the season last year. We're Albion fans and this was an Albion event. I don't believe other clubs have fans who do stuff in this way and it was a charming evening in the true spirit of what it means to be a Brighton fan. Those who were there were a fortunate few and thanks to the organisers for putting it together.

Big Al said he didnt ask him about the future but that doesnt mean somebody else didnt as it was an obvious question.
You don't want anything to do with him (your personal matter) but you want to know what he's up to next (his personal matter)?

In short, given your attitude to the whole caper, what's it got do with you?

If you really wanted to know, rather than gobbing off from the sidelines, you could have come along and asked him yourself.

I asked Calde who I should vote for as player of the season.

Without hesitation he said Bruno or Dale

Went on to explain that he doesn't think everyone appreciates how vital Dale Stephens is to the side.

He hasn't been mentioned as a contender elsewhere, and in our part of the WSU we think he's not had a great season, but I defer to Calde. He knows a sight more than me about football. I've only been watching for 45 years and never kicked a ball.

So, Dale Stephens.... you heard it here first

Akcherly, I've been banging on about him all season.

But no-one listens...

i enjoy most of your posts on nsc as they have a silly old fool kind of quality and can be quite amusing.

the only reaction i have to this one, however, is:

1339426725154_9146065.png

you don't deserve to be a fan of any team of which Calderon is a member.
