Agreed. Seems to have BHA written all over this. Young, Spanish and not yet renewed his contract with Espanyol might just be looking at the bright lights of the Premier League. Seeing what Cucu has achieved in a very short time might just have wetted his appetite

Yep, he’s the one I want too.

Big, fast, strong, solid enough defensively, 5 goals & 5 assists in Serie A last season. Still only 19.

I know there are bigger clubs lurking but f*ck it. Throw £20-25m at Udinese and get him in now.

We've got plenty of might make it in the future type players (including one loaned to us). There has to be a balance between the short term and the medium term to be struck and I think we want a senior player who is a specialist in that position. We're not short of a few quid all of a sudden. Let's get someone who will hit the ground running.

In the longer term, we should be identifying wide players and wing backs for the academy. I think the events of the last few days have identified that our much vaunted academy system still has a way to go. Centre backs and centre mids and even a few centre forwards coming out of our ears, but nobody really anywhere near the first team who looks like a specialist wide player on either side.
