Come on everyone, Dick must be feeling a bit fed up right now, he was there in our darkest hour when we needed someone to save our club, and if it hadn't have been for him our club may have been totally destroyed by Archer and Belotti.

He has worked hard to secure planning permission to keep our club safe for the future and for our children to be able to go with their chldren.

He has kept the club afloat at Withdean when a lot of other clubs may have gone down the pan totally.

He has still during that time managed to get the likes of Adams, Coppell, Taylor and McGhee to manage the club. No matter what you may think of these people now, they are big name managers.

All he wants i believe after doing all this work is to see the job through to the end. Surely he deserves this after all he has done!
After all He is Brighton through and through and will only ever want what is best for the club.

So I say, Thanks Dick, keep up the good work

None of that is in dispute how we are going to finance it and move on up to the next level and sustain it in playing standards is the bone of contention.

I have said when the DG story first broke that DK should hold a very high position and should be made life president for what he has achieved. But we need the investment.

Think BG is talking sense. We all know what Mr Knight has done for this club and that should never be forgotton. But we do need to move to the next level asap

It was tiresome to read all those who were fast to shout "here comes the cavalry!" as soon as a big-dosh dandy came over the horizon.
If anyone has fully earned faith and support, then it's DK, and he deserves all the "lickers" (freakin' gay analogy from one silly tart) he gets for saving BHAFC, so far, against all odds.

As has been basically confirmed, he has no intention of going anywhere, and - I would think - especially not now.
Let money-men invest, yes. Let DK bask in the glory, yes and again yes.
Let there be threads of praise and wishes for his long life and good health.

Thankyou VERY much, Mr Knight!

He gets my full support- for what it's worth. And my eternal gratitude.....but, it's the club that I love, rather than the chairman and I would like him to do the right thing by it. Gold will takes us to another level - one where we can compete with Palace, Wolves, West Brom, Southampton which has got to be our realistic goal.

I really hope that Dick doesn't end up getting hounded out by the fans. Partly that's in our hands, partly in Dick's. I don't buy this idea that a new investor would upset the apple cart with regard to Falmer. But I understand where DK is coming from. To go through all this for the club when he could be kicking back in Spain and then right after the go-ahead realise that you might not even get to lead Brighton out on Falmers 1st match - what a kick in the teeth.

I don't know what the answer is. Gold and Knight are fair and decent men (well in Gold's case....as decent as any pornographer can be). I really hope this can be settled amicably.

asap?

What if there is another potential big investor who has already made contact with the Club? Why go for Gold, when platinum might be available?

I think he will without doubt do the right thing for the club, I dont think he would ever do anything just for his own ego. He has said he would sit down and talk to investors gladly.
One day we will, i'm sure be back up competing with those clubs but its still going to take time.
We will have time to build a proper team once the stadium is at least on the way to being built (which i'm sure they will secure finances for)
He is right, these are going to be exciting times for the club but it wont just happen overnight and it wont happen without lots of hard work
