Because the fee is now £1 per ticket. It was previously £2 per transaction.

So it changed in the space of two days without any warning (don't tell me, it's in the small print). Bad news buried beneath the announcement of the brilliant new membership bonanza I guess. The clever way to have done it would have been to put the price of tickets up by £1 and abolished the web fee.
