I think black people should have their own awards most definetly.

1) Best drug dealer in the South London area.

2) Most improved mugger.

3) Most heavily blinged up brother.

No of course thats not racist that those chaps have there own awards.

i'm surprised that there is (or even a need for) 'minority' based award shows, or socia funding etc...

if someone is good enough at what they do, they will (or should) get just recognition. it shouldnt matter what colur your skin is.

reducing the base of likely contenders would, in ny opinion, give any 'winner' a false sense of success, any they are only being judged against thir own kind, rather than what the whole industry can offer.

and i am sure there would be a s***storm if there was a whites only show?
