Another vote for The Proclaimers and a big vote for Lloyd Cole & The Commotions. The late 80s were the halcyon days for Scottish music, I was at Uni in Dundee and Deacon Blue were at their Peak, also Simple Minds, The Blue Nile, Hue & Cry. Happy days...

Biffy Clyro are pretty damn good, seeing them support Foo Fighters this weekend :D

Biffy for sure.

Went to Helsinki last weekend to see them (well, a guy called Dave Grohl was performing there as well but that is not the most important part). Joking appart - Foo's were great too.

ps Another vote for The Blue Nile & 'A Walk Across The Rooftops'. What an extaordinary album. I particularly loved From Rags To Riches & Stay, but I can't really listen to them any more as they are both guaranteed to make me weep buckets. :(
