Does anyone know how much it costs to put on? Who pays for it? And who is liable for any accidents?
If this is all covered by the event, sponsors and participants the council should not stand in the way, however if the event is a council initiative they hate things like this because it is far too much work for them and they hate the responsibility.
Aparrently the reason given for the accident was hitting a dip in the road, I also seem to remember that the woman who died was only asked to ride in the sidecar the night before because a replacement was needed for this vehicle to compete.
I think it should continue but with a review on who is eligible to compete and if sidecars should even be a part of it.
