Ukraine now taking territory so quickly by the time a new map is drawn and published it’s already out of date. This is akin to the Allies driving through northern France after the Normandy breakout in 1944, the momentum coupled with the massive planning, resupply and equipment operation is telling and telling quickly.

Now, I wonder if anyone fancies pointing a missile at a certain bridge…

When those c***s are defeated, they should be subject to the same rules as Germany post-war.

No military for at least 50 years. No nothing. Disbanded of nuclear and everything,

Nice thought. But that won’t happen. Putin will be ousted from power by his own people and the Russians will withdraw from Ukraine.

This is how it all ends, when Putin goes.

History is a wonderful learning tool!!!

The Treaty of Versailles did indeed store up a lot of trouble for the future to be sure. Russia must be made to pay to rebuild - or at least pay substantially towards rebuilding - the towns and cities it's destroyed though, surely.
You can't just go round flattening towns to the ground and then just saying, oh, our plan didn't work, and going home.

I think post Putin they will, and be happy to do so if they want to rebuild their relationships with the rest of the world.

And leave them open to a military attack by China?

The best thing that come from this is to pull Russia back into the European fold and away from being aligned with China on way too many policies.

Imaging Russia with no military and a far more advanced military from China just marching through Russia an establishing itself through into Europe is a scary thought.

What? China wouldn't want to take over Russia militarily.

Don't be so naive.

You think if Russia is stripped of all its military that it won't think about letting China build military bases to protect its borders?

Japan and Germany still have US military bases as remnants of WW2.

Why would you think China wouldn't use that kind of opportunity to set up similar bases where it could be much closer to be a threat to many of its adversaries.

After 🇺🇦 routed 🇷🇺 and took more land in a week than Russia has since April, the Nazi coward Putin this evening launched cruise missile strikes against thermo electric plant in kharkiv region that knocked out all power and water in numerous regions. Total blackout, deliberate attack of civillian infrastructure and another war crime.

However, Zelensky speech, directly to the Russians, hours after the attack is pure Churchillian brilliance.

"Do you still think that we are one nation? Do you still think you can scare us, break us, make concessions? You really haven't understood anything, have you? Don't you understand who we are? What we're for? What we're about?

Read my lips:

Without gas or without you? Without you.
Without light or without you? Without you.
Without water or without you. Without you. Without food or without you? Without you.

Cold, hunger, darkness and thirst are not as frightening and deadly for us as your friendship and brotherhood. But history will put everything in its place. And we will be with gas, light, water and food...and it will be WITHOUT you!"

The most important thing to reform and set straight after Putin is defeated is their media and freedom of speech. Putin wouldn’t have gotten away most of his shit if the Russian population were better informed.

Restore freedoms, human rights, and an honest media and you have a country far less willing to wage war.
