True, but buying these 2 also disrupts 2 big rivals......its a double whammy for them

so far it's backfired spectacularly for them as both the teams they have targeted are 4 points ahead of them

Not necessarily. Just say for argument's sake, fending off Newcastle's interest has just cost Wednesday an extra £8/9k a week? That money might just have made the difference when trying to make other signings later in the window. Whatever way you look at it, the approach for the player costs Newcastle nothing, and DOES affect the other club.

Except for the Newcastle players who are the ones who will be replaced may not put in quite the effort they might have done, knowing they are not going to be first choice once the window closes.

Is it Newcastle anyway ?.... they need a proper no 9 not another little no 10 type player.

Could be Burnley but I think it could actually be Wolves.... they are about to go transfer mad...

Except Knocky has come out and said he is staying....Has Forestieri? Derby and Newcastle are after him...So we won't be able to compete on wages I would have thought.

How could he consider leaving massive SW. After all there's no club bigger aside real Madrid and Barcelona......... In the deluded world of Wednesday.

A quick glance at Sheffield Wednesday's forum makes for amusing reading...

From anger and pure hate towards him on Friday to love and forgiveness this afternoon.

What a bunch of Northern Monkeys. Hope he stays at that dressing room will be split.

Reminds me of this place shortly after Calde looked like he was going to Southampton.

Would be funny if he still left - didn't Tarkowski do similar last season - refuse to play for Brentford, apologised then still joined Burnley ??

What people on here would be any different if it was one of our key players?
