I missed out on KB …. Jim Watt was the first lightweight I watched. But as a lover of boxing, I soon found out about world class Ken Buchanan, he had it all, able to take on greats in that era. A silky, relaxed style, a quiet assassin. Love watching footage of his fights.

RIP wee man.

@Tom Hark Preston Park …. can you remember him?

For sure Ken Buchanan was a household name when I was growing up in Scotland. RIP KB

Fed up with trains. Sick of the rain.
Great boxer. Really sad to hear he has passed.

In later life, he used to drink in the Alhambra bar on Leith Walk. I spoke to him a couole of timed after a Hibs game at Easter Road. Genuine, down to earth guy who enjoyed chatting about football.
RiP Champ.
