Romeo & Juliet is also set in Verona. Mr Shakespeare liked Italy for some reason.

Indeed. The following plays are set wholly or partially in Italy.

Merchant of Venice
Romeo and Juliet
Much Ado about Nothing
Taming of the Shrew
Cymbeline
Othello
A Winter's Tale
Two Gentlemen of Verona
All's Well That Ends Well

and this doesn't include the Roman plays: Julius Caesar, Coriolanus, Antony and Cleopatra, Titus Andronicus

Nor does it include The Tempest with its Italian characters shifted to an unknown island

Silly old bat
The problem is that you can read the play, but you can forget the names of all the major characters unless you're starring in a production or you studied it at school. I could name all the major characters of Macbeth (studied for O level) very easily, but virtually none of the characters in any other play, apart from the obvious ones, despite having read most of them at some point or another....

Yes, I know Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night & R&J for the same reasons.
